Possible locations - St. Louis: St. Joe state park is an hour+ south of
St. Louis, so they're really not equivalent.
Moab:
extensive offroading opportunities, including the possibility to rent
already-equipped Jeeps.
Arches NP, Canyonlands NP
closest 1/4 mile is West Valley City UT (4.5 hours)
4.5 hours from SLC
6 hours from Denver
lack of lakes, few museums, no amusement parks, plenty of local
accommodations.
caters more to the offroading than anything else.
