almost any paintball field with an affiliated store rents equipment.
where I play rental is $15 for marker, mask, CO2 and 100 rounds. all I
remember from additional round pricing is that it's about $45 for half
a case (1000 balls). (Again, where I play) you can set up a private
game as long as you've got at least 10 people.

you can get into airsoft with a cheapie spring action gun for $10.
nice CO2 guns with decent balance can run upwards of $50, but on the
whole probably a bit cheaper than paintball.
