Put the truck up on ramps (or a lift of you have access to one). Remove the
three bolts on each motor mount (block side) - make sure you have a jack
under the balancer to support it (do NOT use it to lift the motor too
much...just as a support). Remove the two nuts for the long bolts running
through the frame-side of the mounts and then remove the mounts. Reverse
the process and you're all done.

Dunno yet but I'll tell ya in May. I've got to do mine as soon as I decide
it's warm enough to. I've also found out (from other SAS Daks &
Ds) that I should expect them to deform and deflect without the extra
support of the front axle center section, so I'll need to reinforce the
replacement parts.

In order for the motor to be moving fore and aft that much, I'd expect all
three mounts should be shot. there's not that much play in the transmission
mount if all the rubber is present...
I don't remember how easy it was to see my motor mounts when the frontend
was still there, but I can clearly see mine right now and can see that I've
got space between the engine half and the surrounding rubber in the frame
half. Hopefully you'll be able to take a peek in there at least with a
flashlight and see what you can see. I'm sure the lift will help with
noggin clearance and sightlines.
Maybe you could have a friend rev the engine while you watch for movement,
and *carefully* do the same with it in gear against the brakes to see what
difference the torque being applied to the rest of the driveline makes.
