Yep, only mine was stuck on cold so I froze all winter long. I'm not
sure which is worse. Mine was a bit of a potential safety hazard in
regards to the defrost setting not improving my visibility, but I kept a
squeege under the seat to clear the inside of the window if it got
really bad.

What it ended up being in my case was that the cable that actuates the
heat control door was slipping where it hooks to the door. It's just
connected to that door with a clamp that loosened over time.

I don't think it's all that bad. Mine doesn't have A/C, so there was no
worry about that. But it was done all in the interior just by pulling
the dash apart. *Way* apart, but no coolant draining was necessary.
Lucky for me, most of the work was done by Jon and Mike (I told them it
wasn't really necessary, but they took it as a challenge). They might
remember more of the details.
