RE: Plugging tires

I'm curious because I never heard of doing this but can you please tell me
how to use a patch in addition to a plug? It would seem that the plug
extending into the tire would not accept a patch.
Also I believe the point of the post is to have a quick reliable repair done
without having to waste time at a tire shop (which could be extremely long
if the tire isn't dropped off).
I believe the plug method would work just fine. I never heard of one failing
(although it's very possible). Just make sure it's inserted properly as per
directions.

What you really should do, is take the tire off the wheel and patch it from
the inside after plugging it. If there is any problem with the plug, it
could allow air into the tire between the plies resulting in a separation.
