That agrees with my research too. According to Allpar.com
(http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/caliber.html) the Euro-spec Caliber
uses the VW 2.0 TDI. That engine is what had initially had me so
excited about them. For a time, Dodge.com had that engine as an option
for the U.S. market. With that particular engine and all of the
bad-weather 4wd toys, Dodge probably would have had a sale right here.
