Check the voltage coming out at the connector (don't connect the O2). Check
ALL 4 and let me know what you find (wire colors and voltages needed).

Hello,
I'm Ray or snowbox. I go by both. I'm new to this so please bear with me. I
am use to the older Mopars 1960's thru 1987 s.
i have a 1996 Dak. 4 cyl 5 spd. I bought an actron obd ll pocketscan code
reader. i have tested the system and came up with a P0138. o2 sensor circuit
high volts bank 1 sensor 2
i figured out it is after the cat and before the muffler. i replaced the
sensor the first time and erased the code. the bluming light came on again.
replaced the sensor the second time. disconnected the pos on the battery and
walked away for a cup of coffee. came back and connected the battery. and
the light was out. of course the dang thing came back on again. the same
P0138.
new york state will not inspect the truck with the check engine light on.
Please give me suggestions and/or advise on what is
causing the problems.
thanks
Ray/snowbox
