I have to put one toy back in the toybox before I get another. I only
have room for 2 toys and 1 driver at this point. I already have a '86
GLHT and that's not going anywhere. The wife enjoys her sensible,
grown-up Stratus to the point that she's decided to drive the wheels off
of it, so it isn't going anywhere. That leaves the Dak...

The SRT10 might be so different regarding suspension and drive train
that the regular Ram lists might not be much help, although those that
do cater to the weirdness of the SRT10 still might still leave me as a
dried up husk of a man beside the road of life. I can resist anything
but temptation and 505 cubic inches is so very tempting.

I won't be going anywhere, Dak or not. I still have 2 Daks in the
family: my dad's '89 4-banger (was mine) and my baby sister's '02 QC
4x4. In addition, this list has a particular maturity about it with
regard to the life-cycle of mailing lists. There are some good people
here, both personally and professionally. There are not many groups who
can self-moderate to the extent this one does. Many others devolve to
flame wars with the kidz, and I'm not into that. There are a few SRT10
forums that seem pretty good...so far.

I'll make an offer on the SRT10 in a week or so if its still there. I've
been doing some research. The end of the month quota crunch time might
give me a little leverage. If the dealer accepts my offer, then I'll
try to sell the Dak at the Nats. If not, then "Oh, Well!" I need a 505
cubic inch V10 like a fish needs a bike.
