Yup...thanks for clarifying that Jon. You can call up any dealership and
give them the VIN. They should be able to decipher it (I know we can back
to 1983).

Just to clarify the above, regarding the VIN, you can't actually
determine from the digits in the VIN itself what the color is, but a
dealership can look up the VIN in the computer and their database
will contain the original paint color. (I believe that is what Bernd
is referring to.) If only they had kept records with that kind of
detail for all of the classic Mopars! :-)

that I didn't suggest taking the VIN to a dealership to have them look
it up - it completely slipped my mind that they had the ability to do
that. Fortunately, the DML is here to pick up the slack. :-)
