Ok, it's a bad comparison, sorry. This Thread just became a perfect
example. With top posting, I could select the next message in the
thread and see the current posting right there. I can get through all
of my email with either the down arrow or the del key. If I don't
remember the specifics, then I can scroll down to read them. With the
Bottom post method [like this] I have to switch focus to the reading
pane, then scroll down first just to get to the current information,
because the quotes take up enough of the screen to push the current info
off of it even if properly trimmed..

It seems that Top posting is a better solution because you always have
the current information right there, on top. You don't have to even
whine about if the OP didn't trim enough from the previous message
because you never see it unless you go looking [scroll down] for it.
