Are they still the factory ones without the gasket or did you install
gaskets? Tension on the exhaust system (not hung properly for example) can
also cause these noises.

If thats what it is....MAN is that annoying! The more mods I do to the
engine
the worse it gets...maybe because there is more flow through them?

In a very non-scientific test, I put a flathead screwdriver against the
heatshield and felt it move on me when it popped (drivers side). Could it be
anything else? A crack in the head or block or something?

So basically all I need to do is go with a set of aftermarket headers
(mopar/PPH, spintech, etc.) and it should dissapear?

I remember the V6 headers making a "little" bit of noise on
warm-up/cool-down
but it was never that loud and audible.

oh well....
