The center sleeve should be removeable, but the rubber itself is molded
into the mount. You could remove it and "transplant it" but to do so
would be kinda pointless - as it would be easier to grind down the sides
of the mount to make it fit in the Gen I frame pocket. The mounts are
almost the same, except for the width of the center sleeve and the
rubber bushing - the body thickness is the same.
