Thanks! Things have been a bit hectic for me lately, hadn't gotten
around to replying. :-)

Yeah, we've talked about doing something in the past, but haven't
really done anything like that yet. Partly just due to the time issue
I think - we seem to come up with all sorts of ideas, but once the
event gets rolling, the BBQ just kinda does what it wants and we're
all just along for the ride. :-)
As far as firearms go, if there are enough people who are
interested in some target shooting, we can certainly try to do
something. I have no objection to it assuming that all of the
standard safety rules are followed. One problem is that the People's
Republic of New York takes a lot of the fun out of it; as Jason
correctly noted, any handgun requires a NY permit to be legal in this
state. AFAIK, long guns are generally OK (for now), but bear in mind
that NY has a so called assault weapon ban which is identical to the
recently sunsetted federal so called assault weapon ban. So I guess
if an individual has a firearm which isn't technically legal in our
socialist paradise, it'd be up to them as to whether or not they want
to take that risk. (Actually, the area of NY where I am is very good
as far as this sort of stuff goes, but we've still got to deal with
the stupid laws foisted upon the entire state by the Albany/NYC
crowd.)
