I have that pan on my tranny. Just be aware that on the 46RE tranny, it
will require a slight modification to the internal fins on the pan to clear
one of the sensors on the valve body. Nothing a dremel can't knock out in 5
minutes though. And other than the Mopar pan specifically made for the
46RE, I don't know of a true "deep" pan for the 46RE. It already has what
is considered a "deep" pan on it for a 727/518 to clear the valve body that
the older hydraulic trannys don't have. So even with the B&M pan, it
doesn't increase fluid volume any.

Ahhh-sooooooooooooo ...
Kinda like the (crank case) sump drain pan on some of the old VW Type I's.
I always wanted to get my hands of the "engineers" whose bright minds
decided that the best arrangement for the guy who simply wants to drain a
sump is to require removal of the ENTIRE pan! Thanks for the picture and
the enlightenment. I should be off & running now. I may weld a tap into
the stock pan for a std. plug. Or, I stumbled onto this:

Pretty trick - probably lots of versions of this out there ...
