You will get better performance out of the lower octane fuel, unless you
have modified your 318 to the point where you need the increased octane.
And 15% ethanol will affect the gas mileage and performance slightly, but
will have little to no effect on your fuel system of engine life as long as
you keep up on regular maintenance. But as for the performance, as I said
earlier, you are probably hurting yourself more running the higher octane
than with the ethanol blend. Unless you get detonation on the lower octane
fuels, I wouldn't run any higher than 89 personally.
