I had a 42RE in my 2k V6 and it was garbage. Was on the third one ($2500
race build) when I sold it, and it was the longest lasting at about 70k
miles of use. It would've been fantastic to have had something beefier.
Wonder why it was changed from the 44RE in the gen 2.
