Had a similar experience.. my wife works for Motorola so we went through their
credit union and a "fleet" sales program. Ended up being 1% of MSRP over
invoice
which was ~200 bucks, then subtract the 500 rebate. No haggling at all
except on the percentage (the program had just changed from 1% to 500 over
or some such) The best way to buy a new car IMHO. Probably could have gotten
a better deal on a leftover 95 (we went to several of the 'program' dealers
in the
area) one really wanted to get rid of the trucks he had and was not interested
in ordering. The dealer we finally went with does quite a bit of volume so they
had no qualms about ordering (no down payment to order either) Everyone else
wanted some cash up front.
