I don't have any source of special knowledge about just how the mopar
performance computers really "learn" but here is a "trick" I learned from
a very successful racer, so I'll pass it along:
Jerry has a 94 Dakota Club that carries a RV style camper and pulls
a trailer that carries his 67 baracuda 383 big block race car. It is not
unusual to see him trailer to a big race and/or mopar event, drop the camper
and trailer in the pits, and race both vehicles in seperate classes.
Jerry feels that the key to "programming" the computer for
consistancy, is to do a wide open throttle burn-in through two gear
changes before every pass.
Its made a difference for me. I don't spend a lot of time thinking
about finish line strategy anymore because breaking out becomes not an
option. Result -- more wins.
