Thanks everyone, for the responses you gave me concerning the rust spots
which have started to appear on my bumpers and wheels. The fairly
unanimous advice was to use chrome cleaner to [try to] get the spots out,
and then keep it protected with a coating of wax. I'll try this and let you
know how it turns out!
I live in western New York state, where the highway dept. does use salt
on the roads so that is most likely the culprit. :-( I've never owned
a vehicle with chrome on it so this was a new experience for me...
Thanks again, and I'll post an update after I head out to the local
Wal*Mart to buy this stuff and try it out!
