& Torsion bars have two advantages over coil springs..... no friction
& ("torsion quiet ride"), and physical space requirements (which are not an
& issue in this application).
Here are some more advantages. Want to change a ball joint? Just
unscrew the preload screw, no spring compressors. Springs sagging
after 100,000 miles? Just dial in the correct ride height. If you
like the stock setup, torsion bars are great. If you want to modify,
they aren't. I wish my 2WD had torsion bars.
How the hell can a reciever hitch be strong enough without drilling
holes in the frame to mount it? I also have the JCWhitney Hidden
Hitch. Four 1/2" holes. No big deal.
Four more holes for the Addco rear anti-sway bar. The spare tire
get sandwitched inbetween. A 235/75 would fit, but not much bigger.
