as far as induction all i could get is an edelbrock air cleaner. with a
K&N. the good thing about the throttle body is that it is a 5.125
diameter....same as a 4-barrel carb. therefor you can get an aftermarket
air cleaner for a 4barrel that has no hoses to it. much less restriction.
i also noticed that it makes a cool sucking sound when you give it a quick
burst of throttle.
the only problem is trying to do this with a '97
i think they have a mass air flow sensor so you can't remove all the hoses
and air box cuz you'll get trouble codes.
i found a way to check trouble codes without buying anything to hook up to
the diagnostic connector.
turn the key to "on" and back 2 times then on once more to read the
service engine light for the codes.(do this quickly).
if you read code 55 that meand end of codes. otherwise you got problems

if you want an exhaust go to a custom shop.
i got a full dual exhaust from the manifolds for $550 including 2 cats 2
mufflers and 2.5" alluminumized (inside and out) pipes with 3" polished
chrome tips.
don't worry about the second O2 sensor, i have one in the right side and
none in the left and it seems to work fine.
the main reason i got it was due to the crush in the crossover pipe that i
realized later was stock.... i thought i did it when i was driving along
railroad tracks.
let me tell you , it made a noticeable difference. especially at 2000-2500
RPM range
if i feather the throttle so the tires don't break free to the point where
it is floored, when it reaches th8is range it has so much pull that it
automatically breaks free. by the way, i have a 93 automatic .
