I saw a really neat installation on an F150 recently. The owner had
mounted the lights flush with the grill by cutting out a section of the
grill into which the lights fit. I didn't get close enough
to see how the lights were actually secured to the body,
but it seemed like a neat idea when I saw it.

until you've had to jump outside in a 35 degree driving rain to pop
the air cleaner and free the choke plate!)
