Count me in on those pic's too! I've seen one billet insert for the
     '97's so far and it was $140!!! Let's see $5 vs. $140.....

I got my issue of Truckin' 2 days ago. My '97 is my first Dakota and
even I could immediately tell that it was an older model. I figure
it's one of two things....either they screwed up with the pic's or
possible (but why wouldn't they just say this) Mopar Performance
didn't want 'em takin' pictures of prototype parts.

After reading they used an open air cleaner I'm considering switching
to a chrome air cleaner with a K&N filter. I noticed though that it
looks like the upper rad hose changed from previous years and now runs
closer to the throttle body. Has anyone with a '97 a open element
filter to see what fits? Also, has anyone tried using older style
chrome valve covers on the ten bolt magnum heads? Is the perimeter
shape the same and can just use only 5 bolts? I really want chrome
valve covers but no one's got 'em. I posted to Edelbrock's BBS and
they said there are no plans for magnum head valve covers but it's
always a possibility in the future. They do have a part # for their
     TES headers for the '97 318's though.....but now I can't find it.
I'll repost it if anyone is interested.

P.s. On page 170 of the April Truckin' Magazine, Look at how they
tried to pass off that underhood shot as being from a 97. Any moron can
plainly see that is from a 96.
