     *'97 Dakota Wish List*

Bell Tech is working on prototype spindles and rear drops components
but won't have anything ready till late spring. www.belltechcorp.com
     or 800-445-3767.

Eibach is working on drop front coils and rear leafs due out, again,
late spring. They're waitin' on a vehicle from Chrysler for the
testing. (714)752-6700; ask for Mike (Sales) or Pat (R&D).

Ground Force has 2/2 and 2/3 drop kits for $425 and $436 respectively.
     These are coil/block/shocks kits. (412)430-2060.

Western Chassis is working on drop spindles but its gonna be awhile.
They have found that the hangers/shackles for the '96 and earlier
trucks carry over to the '97's. I don't what Godfather has but I
don't think that the drop spindles are anywhere near being similar
     between '96&prev and the '97's.

AIM is about 2 months from even starting anything yet. 800-879-9125

Sir Michael's has a bolt on steel roll pan for about $95 and a handle
     relocator for about $40.

I've seen a billet grille somewhere for $140 but I'm waiting to see
     pic's of Kendall's truck.

Checkmate has got soft and hard flush mount tonneaus with gas lifts.
$150 for soft, $330 for hard.

Lund has a fiberglass roll pan for about $125. I'd go with the Sir
     Michael's steel pan myself.

Crutchfield has custom stereo harnesses and custom alarm system
     harnesses for systems they sell.

I also saw head/taillight covers in J.C. Whitney for about $30/pair
but I don't remember who made 'em. It was one of the big light cover
     companies though.

Jet and Hypertech are both in the process of developing performance
"chips" for the '97's. If Hypertech holds true to the rest of it's
line there should be full programability.

Edelbrock is getting ready to release a TES header system (minus
crossover if I remember correctly) soon. They are also planning to
produce they're new shock for the Dak as well. Can't remember if they
had a cat-back or not. I'm sure they will though.

Gibson has a cat-back available for about $299.

I've got all sorts of plans but I'm waiting for nice weather before I
start. Sorry for the bandwidth but I thought I could save some of you
the trouble of hunting all this down.

P.S. Bruce, did you notice an improvement after the K&N went on your
     '97?
