Not being an automotive electrician, all I can do is relay my experience.
When the truck was delivered, there was a package of electical gizmos in
the glove box and my boat trailer lights wouldn't work.
I took it to the dealer, they installed the relays (electrical gizmos) into
the power center, now the trailer lights work fine.
Maybe one of the electrical wizards on the list can tell us what the relays
actually do. On Shadetree Mechanic a month or so ago, they used the $20
connector... but on a full size Chev.
