Calibration of SBEC

Be wary of any dealer wanting to calibrate your SBEC!!! I'm no Engineer, nor
am I a Technician, however I do work in Huntsville, Al. at the facility where
the engine controllers for many of the MOPARS are manufactured and the units
are calibrated differently by P/N. The P/N determines the calibration in other
words. Most trucks/vans carry the same identical units, just programmed
differently for the variations in vehicle weight, engine, trans, etc,
therefore each one has a different P/N. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
demands this. To the best of my knowledge this option can only be performed at
Huntsville and at the Motorola facility that mkes the remainder of the Engine
Controllers. Even MOPAR Parts returns units to us to have this function
performed. They ALWAYS get a NEW P/N when this is done.

WORKING TO BE THE BEST
