hello,
I'm not sure if any of you remember me, I purchased my first 97
dak in
November and got in to a head on collision with a criminal running from the
cops, going 120 mph on the wrong side of the freeway, I am doing much better
after 1 1/2 months. The only injury I had was a shattered kneecap which was
caused when my knee hit the knee bolster, which would not of even happened if
I was wearing my seatbelt. Because of the saftey and sucurity I felt from my
truck and my lifelong love for MOPAR i decided to purchase another when I got
my settlement from the Police dept. I went to every Chrysler dealer within
a 100 mile radius of Columbus Ohio and ended up finding the truck I wanted it
is a black 97 dak sport, 5.2, 4x4, ext cab loaded with everything exept the
overhead console. Needless to say I love it but I have had two problems with
it since taking possesion, the first problem was the steering wheel, the
alignment was pulling to the left so I adjusted the tire pressure and it
cleared it right up, my second problem, I need a little help on from yall out
there. When i am driving with my fiance' I have to drive the speed limit and
take off at a reasonable speed, and when I get going between 15-20 mph it
starts jumping like it's trying to get into 2nd gear, but won't shift until I
give it a good dose of gas and then it jolts into second, then yesterday I
was racing a friend of mine's '86 Pontiac T.A. and it didn't shift from 2nd
to 3rd at all and shot up to 5500 rpm's until I got of the gas and finally
dropped in to 3rd. After that i stopped at a sunoco to get a pack of cigs,
and put it in park but didn't turn it off and when I got back in it to leave
I shifted to R in it wouldn't go any where, so I putted in N and it started
going foward, so I shut it off and cranked her back up and every thing was
fine again, but i still have the shifting problem, if yall have any
suggestions please reply, i could use the help. thanks
