What shift kit are you using? If it is the Transgo, you probobly used the BLUE PR spring
because it said FOR HP USE. Someone else out there asked me about the Transgo and how
to get it to work properly. I mentioned that I took my tranny apart 3 times to get it
right. Use the WHITE pr Spring. HD GAS\DIESEL USE. A stock 318 is not going to make
power above 5000. So why shift so high? Use the white spring and adjust the Kickdown
cable(PRESSURE) for around 4900RPM. This may take a few Street romps to get it. Adjust
just 2 clicks at a time from the original position. Mine shifts at 4900,5000 and 5000.
Even with the motor still warm I ran 15.05 AT 88.3MPH, NO HEADERS, NO IGNITIONS, NO
PERFORMANCE JTEC. 60 foots of 2.14 average. I can send you a copy of the timeslips...

Goin to run the Eighth tonight if it doesn't rain and try a couple of tricks.
Best Eighth was 9.53 at 72.4mph. Not bad for Brick on wheels.

96' SB Sport, Auto, 3.90 Axle
Modified exhaust with Gibson cat back
Crower 1.7 Rockers & MP Springs.
BFG DRAG Radials.
K&N FIPK
Underdrive Pulleys
THATS ALL!
