No I haven't looked under the hood of a 97. Unlike the DH headers,
they are low slung and don't go any higher then the exhaust ports.
Mine fit in my 92 great. Just had to remove the rack and pinion
because the steering shaft runs between one tube. They primary tubes
are 1 5/8 with a 3" collector. The cost when I bought mine 3 years
ago was $235 compared to $450 for the DH.
