The 255-60-15's are on a set of stock '97 Dakota steel wheels. They
appear to be the same width as my Chome 'Star' stock steel wheels ('95
model
year). They do sit out a ways, and if you crank the wheel while driving
you get
a little bit of tire flex (my BFG's are like rocks, so you don't get any
tire flex
with those). As far as mileage goes, I am getting about the same as with
my
215's. I ran into a radar trailer the other day... 45 mph indicated is 43
mph actual
(by what the trailer read). On the road mileage signs, at mile 1 = 5.3
miles, at mile
2= 5.325 miles, at mile 3= 5.35 miles, at mile 4=5.375, and finally at mile
5=5.4 miles.
I was running at 80 mph the entire time, and timed the 'miles'... 50-50.5
seconds
per mile...Right at 80 in my book. The rest is trivial. Based on 5280' per
mile,
It's reading about 132' longer each mile... So on 25000 indicated, you'll
have
an extra 625 miles than you actually travelled.
