I don't really think it's that big a deal with cars and trucks though,
because I've never had knock, ping, hesitation, etc. that people mention
using the 87 octane with anything I've driven, and I drive a vehicle hard.
As far as oil I use Castrol 10w30 in every vehicle I've ever driven, and
it seems to do a pretty good job, BTW I was considering trying the Castrol
Syntec and was wondering if you guys had any thoughts about it, is it as
good as they claim, is it worth the money, etc.. One of my cousins said he
put Syntec in his Dak and then proceeded not to change the oil for 90,000
miles, just kept it topped off, and he's still driving same truck today,
so I'm considering it based on that alone.
