Warranty voiding question

Hello all,

     I was wondering how much of a sense of humor CC has in respect
to honoring the warranty when you modify your Dakota? I mean, I
want my truck to be as customized as possible but not at the risk of
incurring a huge repair bill that should be covered under warranty.
Of course, I would have a real mechanic perform the modifications.
Opinions suggestions, information.
