For those of you who don't read/subscribe to Sport Truck magazine. The Dakota
R/T was recently named Sport Truck of The Year in the Feb. '98 issue. It
literally blew away the competition(Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, GMC Sonoma, Mazda
B4000, Nissan Frontier). For those of you who haven't seen an R/T yet, it
doesn't look much different. The model they tested was a reg. cab, short bed.
It has the 17" wheels from the Ram SS/T and 255/60 tires. It also has the
fender flares from the 4x4 Dak. Sharp looking truck. However, I was surprised
by the times they recorded with it. 1/4 mile- 16.17 @ 83.15 ?? 0-60 in 8.22
secs?? Seems kinda slow to me.
Maybe I'll trade mine in.....naw, no 5 speed available.
