Cataletic converter

     I've been waiting for a new converter for my 96 V8 Dakota for 2 months
     now. It won't pass inspection without it and my sticker is now
     expired. Chrystler says the part is on National Back Order and they
     can't give me a date when it will be available. The dealership says
     they have several other costomers waiting on the same part. Has anyone
     here had any problems with a Cataletic Converter on A Dakota?
