I have a '92 V8...

The filter (well, actually there are 2,,,one in tank and one inline)......

The inline filter is on the driver's side, mounted on the inside frame
rail....forward of the gas tank......Cylindrical metal filter, about , oh ,
6 inches or maybe a little longer...

Clamps on with regular hose clamps....

BUT FIRST!!! Relive the fuel line pressure on fuel injected models by using
the schrader valve located on the drivers side fuel rail, towards the rear
of the engine bay (almost under the air cleaner housing).....

USe a rag to soak up any fuel (and there will be a good amount!! And
presurized, too....)

I change mine once a year.
