I'm confused. I thought the K/N was a direct replacement to the stock
filter. Do I remove the stock housing and replace with an aftermarket
air cleaner? Should I get K/N or Edelbrock? Finally how much $$??
Sorry to be so much trouble but I'm new to Dakotas.

     I
got the Edelbrock air cleaner (stock #1208). This is the K&N FIPK
     clone. >>

This unit just fits right on the TBI with no mods correct, its
approximately a 14 inch diameter air cleaner and filter is about 1 3/4
     - 2 inches high
