I wish I needed a car like yours, I would geve you a fair price for it. I
too know what you are going
through with the fact that your car is not in the nada book. I am trying to
sell a GMC Syclone in order to make a down payment on a Dak R/T. The
Syclone is limited (2400) production for 91 models. Truck is collectors
item, and in very good cond with 57k miles. I asked 16,9 for it. Cost new
27k Dealer offered me 10,9 and other syclones on internet seem to sell for
16-24k. I do not owe anything but I dont want to take a killing either. I
have taken veichles to the Dallas Auto Auction before, (very large auction)
and they allow you to set a minimum acceptable starting bid. If no bids go
over your minimum they hold the veichle over till next week unless you
decide to take it home. I believe they charge $50 to run your car through
whether it sells or not. Hope this helps.
Also at the auction you can choose to sell AS IS, or give a short warranty.
If you sell AS IS you get LESS for your car. If the lemon law applies in
yout state to used cars you may not have the as is option even at an
auction!
