I've gone considerably (about 70 mph) faster than that without ill effect,
but it was on a smooth gravel road, not a sticky asphalt dragstrip.

What really matters is that there's some 'give' somewhere in the system
to allow for differences in wheel speed. The Dak 4WD system has no
built-in slack front-to-rear, so you'll lunch the xfer case by driving
on asphalt for very long [although the 231 is a strong box, and will
survive a fair amount of abuse].

If the MileMarker site is any guide, they no longer sell the viscous
coupler, so you're best option is to put a Grand Cherokee full-time
xfer case in your truck. That's a very expensive route (as in $thousands).
