I tend to agree with Gene! Although these events occured 50 years ago,
you must realize that is only one generation ago!
Remember, it was Mitsubishi Zeroes that bombed my fellow Navy brothers
at Pearl harbor. Surprise, unprovoked attack from out of the sunrise!
Remember that!
Remember how we nearly leveled that country after that event but
instead showed the compassion to allow them to rebuild AND help them
with our tax dollars.
Do you remeber the treaty? It prohibited them from rebuilding their
military in exchange for being under our protection.
Oh sure, Mitsubishi couldnt make warplanes, lets make cars and sell
them to the stupid Americans while they spend their economy protecting
the world!
Gene speaks the truth! This country needs to take care of itself not
every little third world nation that leaches off our economy!!
OK, so now you think I'm a racist, and half of you hate me, I dont
give a damn! I'm an American!

I'd say that was TOO MUCH! said from you on this issue. It's interesting
that your quality analysis is based on a completely racist mindset and that
you cite things that happend over fifty years ago as good reasons not to do
something today. What do any of those things have to do with Japanese cars
and trucks currently built ? Do the Japanese think " We hate those
Americans so much , we're going to build high quality cars and trucks for
them? " Don't forget, if it werent for the tough Japanese competition we
wouldnt have the quality Dakotas of today, we'd still be driving the shoddy
crap Detroit produced in the late seventies and early eighties. Remember
that? Maybe you don't! In any case please keep your racist remarks to
yourself!!!!
