I will tell you one thing, I bought a 91 Dodge Spirit from my mom. I
never had a problem with the car. The paint was screwed up from day
one. When my mom owned the car she had Dodge paint part of the car
three times. The trunk was pitted bad. Of course the people that
painted it, just painted over the pits. Guess what? The pits where
still there, so they painted it again. Now all of a sudden the paint on
the roof is peeling (seen this a lot on the caravan roofs). I am
selling it, so I don't give a rats a**, but still, you would think that
you can get 10 years from a factory paint job (if you take care of it,
which for the record, I did). I have always been told that factory
paint jobs are better than what Joe auto body guy can do. I don't think
so Tim.
