Got an email from a buddy of mine here at work that drives a '96 Mustang
GTS. This is amusing....but also will surely raise a few
eyebrows..........
"So..........I'm driving home yesterday and in my rearview mirror I see a
"new" Dakota........It's black, has a hood just like the Durango in Sport
Truck. The guy comes flyin' up next to me at the light on M59 just before
M53. I'm checkin' this truck out. Tinted windows, polished wheels, lowered
about 3 inches and sounded like some exhaust work(can't be sure, but
sounded like headers to me). Oh yeah, did I mention that it was an R/T
5.9?.................Anyways.........While I'm checkin the thing out I'm
not exactly watching the light, just before the light turns, the dude
brings the engine up off idle and schooled me off the line! NO
WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So here I am, faced with a fate worse than
death (getting beaten by a Mopar) and trying not to miss second gear. And
what do I hear next to me but some POWERSHIFTING next to me!!!!!! Turns
out to have an "M" plate on the back. Pretty cool. A 5speed R/T would be
an interesting package.......>>>>>>>>>>>>>oh yeah, almost forgot. I STILL
managed to have 2 cars on him by third gear!!!!!!"
So....other than he's obviously delirious about beatin' this truck
