Dodge never put 6.5" wide aluminum wheels on a Dakota. If you have a
pre-'97 they are 6" wide, as is marked on the inside of the rim. Rim
width is measured INSIDE the rim flanges (hard to do with the tire on).

I've seen widened aluminum rims for motorcycles, but those were
extruded, not cast. They would have to put the extra on the outside or
it would have too much backspacing. This would cost a fortune if it can
be done at all. Cheaper just to buy new rims. Too bad, I like the look
of the stock "Predator" wheels.
