When you say "lid" I assume you're talig about a shell or truck cap. In any
case I bought a Snug-Top Hi-liner shell for my 97 Dak and it ran about
$850. The streamlined or cab-hi ones were about $700-750. I asked the
folks I bought it from why the price had gone up so much, since 5 years
previously I had priced a cah-hi model at only $500 for a Nissan truck.
They said that (of course) a shell for a Dak is bigger than for a Nissan
but primarily that shells now have to custom made for the truck they go on.
In the past the standard cab-hi shell would fit Nissans , Toyotas , Mazdas
etc.. but nowadays each truck has to have a shell designed to fit it
specific body style due to the bumps and curves all the new trucks have
around the rear of the cab. All that said $750 sounds about right
