I would like to hear from anyone who has put headers (50 state
legal) on a 96 Dak 318. I can't seem to find a manufacturer that
supplies the complete set with Y pipe. How hard/easy was the install?
Approximate cost?
Same Question on the Cat back system. Anyone install one that
exits in front of the rear tire? How much did the interior noise
increase? Duals vs Single out let?
How did this affect gas mileage, and HP?
I am planning on headers with Y pipe, free flow cat, and 3" cat
back system. This all needs to be California street legal.
I have seen a lot of discussion on wheels. I think the bottom
line is that you can get most any wheel you want, but with our 6 bolt
pattern it'll cost you. I mail ordered mine. It took an extra two weeks,
but no extra charge. By the way, has anyone checked into whether this is
the Mitsubishi 6 bolt truck pattern. I seem to recall the mention that
this pattern came from the D50 which was a Mits pick up with different
labels.
I have the 4spd Auto Trans, and I would like to know if anyone
has can recommend a shift kit for it. I've seen some advertised, but
would like to hear from someone who has actual experience.
I have heard that our trucks had an optional "limited slip"
rear. Does anyone know how to identify this from the label under the
hood?
Speaking of hoods.... Has anyone installed pneumatic hood
supports and done away with the support which always seems to be in the
way? Which ones did you use?
I've been told that 2" lowering spindles won't work with 15"
wheels. Anyone use 2" spindles, coils, or A arms? Pros/cons? Also, any
recommendations on sway bars? Stay with the stock front sway bar?
Replace with Heavier one? Add rear sway bar? How about shock
recommendations??
