4x4 Quarter Pounders

I've always heard that in racing, it's not HOW much power you have but IF
you can get it all to the ground. It would seem to me, that a 4x4 would have
some advantages over a 4x2. I'm not sure that would apply in drag racing but
it certainly does in road racing.
My VNT Shadow needed 4WD badly. I could break those front tires loose in
any gear but 5th. I would think the same principle would apply to a truck
(especially a light in the back end truck like a pick-up). If you guys are
crankin' 400+ horsey's out of your motors, I'd be trying out 4WD mode on the
track just to see if I could keep all the tires churning out the power. (It
would be and impressive demonstration to see a Dak light up all four wheels)
