The answer the manual question is its an assembly. The manual calls this
part you are referring to the clutch master cylinder and is mounted on
the drivers side of the dash panel next to the brake booster. A
relevant quote, " The factory installed hydraulic linkage has a quick
disconnect at the slave cylinder. This fitting should not be
disconnected or tampered with. The hydraulic linkage is serviced as an
assembly only. The individual components that form the linkage assembly
cannot be overhauled or service separately."

If there is anything else to be looked up let me know.

Yeah, I thought it was something like that too, but when I scoped it
out, it
looks like something is wrong with the cylinder. I don't think the cap
to the
cylinder should be loose...there appears to be remnants of glue/epoxy
that was
holding it onto the cylinder.

No...but I've only got a V-6.
