Starting problems

Hello everyone,

I'm a new member with a problem I'm hoping someone knows how to fix.
I've owned a 94 Dakota 4x2 V8 for almost 2 years and never had a
problem with it until now. It starts fine when cold, but since last
Saturday I've had problems starting it when hot. At these times I
have low or no spark from the coil. If I mess with the large wiring
connector on the firewall next to the brake booster, I can usually
get it to start, but I haven't found any damaged wires or connections.
I'm not even sure this is the problem area, maybe while I'm working
this the real problem area has a chance to cool off and starts
working again. Also, when the engine is hot and I shut it off, then
start it right back up it will fire (on the first crank, too!). If
I leave it for a few minutes it won't.
Any ideas? The truck has 60K on it and has always taken a
few seconds of cranking to start (since I've owned it, anyway). The
check engine light has never come on, so I'm hoping it's not a
computer problem. Any and all ideas appreciated.
