I have the 1800 pound payload option and have had a 1200 pound load in
mine. The Dak pulled it with out a problem. I also have a 96 Ram 3500
cummins with a custom made flat bed and bumpers. It will haul anything
the Dak can't. I had 4 ton on it once. If you want someting to haul or
tow with go for the 5.9 Ram. If you don't haul or tow often get the 5.2
Dak.
