You probably missed my post on our Van dumping it's entire oil supply in
the mall parking lot, yet still ran fine for 25miles, 40 minutes through heavy
traffic and had no engine damage afterward. An untreated engine will die
within 15 minutes of loss of oil with major damage to the engine. I've never
heard of one running longer.
You can dispute or discredit my testimonial all you like, it does not
change our real world gains of mpg, power, and logetivity. Remember, we had 2
cars with the exact same motor in them at different stages of thier lives. At
150,000 miles our Cordoba needed a ton of engine work (compelete over haul) to
get it back in shape. Our Van at 260,000 miles (Slick 50 in it since it had
38,000-40,000 on it) didn't need any engine work other than getting it's heads
milled every so often. I'm not trying to convert non-believers or anything,
I'm just providing my own experiences with what I feel is a very good product.
Oh, and on another note, by disputing my claims you are essentially telling
me that I don't know how to tell the difference between a product and routine
maintenance. This also imply's I don't know mechanics or what I'm saying.
That I don't appriciate. You may feel free to dispute my claims with your own
experiences, or even some "Study" of some kind or another, but don't dispute
them just out of your own cynicism or some other unsubstanciated viewpoint.
It's poor counterpoint tactics and if I was the offendable type might have
gotten a more stern response. If you are disputing it for some substanciated
reason, please note that in the future since your are disputing someone who is
claiming personal experience.

You have not described any evidence that the S50 prevented any catastrophes.
Correlation doesn't imply causation, and it is entirely probable that your
good reliability and performance are more due to your preventative maintenance
than the Slick 50.
