Like Duff, I tend to burn mine up 4 'wheeling... What I notice is a thump,
thump, thump or sometimes a whack, whack, whack (when they are really gone)
when I'm turning... It's rather distinctive in an unhappy sort of way ;-)

Have to admit that I mistook the sound for a tie-rod end that was about to
go! It wasn't fun when it went (unless you like circles :-)

OK OK!!!! How do you guys go through all these U-Joints?????? My 93 Dak 4x4
has voer 95,000 miles of hard 4wheeling with no problems........anyways how
would one know if a u joint is bad.....like symptoms????????
